We had booked Pembrey Sands Country Park CAMC site a while ago because it looked like a perfect location for me and Denise to kidnap Freddie for a few days! We’d told him about it the week before and he was so excited about going, of course sleeping in the drop-down bed was a highlight – this was our opportunity to use it for the first time. Denise and I set off from home on the 7th and stayed over at Rich and Nic’s in Aust to say hello to them and Allegra before setting off the next day with Freddie. The weather forecast was horrendous, heavy rain and high winds – it wasn’t wrong. But despite the weather, Freddie never got bored and he loved every minute. Especially as he took his bike along and gained a few friends at the site because we pitched up close to the play area and kept an eye on him from there a lot of the time. If Freddie wasn’t playing cricket next to the van with us, he was off on his bike around the site. We got to the beach by bike on the first day we arrived – quite a nice day and warm and sunny. The next day it all changed, wet and windy – me and Freddie got to play cricket in the country park and there was a short break in the weather so we headed for the beach. We were the only one’s there, we played cricket – the only spectators were a few washed up jellyfish! The next day was similar, we all went to the cafe/restaurant close to the camping site inside the park.

He kept dropping his bike on his gears and so I had to fix the chain coming off quite a few times! This and all of the next photos are from Denise’s phone …
